About Me

I am a homemaker living in Northern California in the same county that I was born and raised in.  Though I am unequally yoked, my husband and I will be celebrating our twentieth wedding anniversary in October 2007.  God will bless what we give to Him! We have two loving daughters, and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention our cats, Wash and Zoe, since we are a family of cat lovers.

I am a musician who plays electric bass in a contemporary Christian praise group at my church.  I also play woodwinds, some very poor piano, and guitar.  Other pastimes I enjoy are reading, crochetting, sewing, playing video games, cooking and gardening.  I like to write fiction as well.  After going to college as a music major, I went to work for a short time as a retail clerk at a local music store and later as a bookkeeper at a local newspaper.  During this time I traveled through the Far and Middle East visiting Japan, Thailand, Nepal, Israel and Egypt.  At age 24 I joined the Navy and spent five and a half years there working as an Opticalman (I repaired binoculars).  It was while I was in the Navy that I met my husband.

All good things in God's time...

Though my husband has not yet fully given his life to the Lord, I have every hope that he will develop a more complete relationship with our Father in heaven.  Part of the reason I undertook to make this web site was that I needed to review the Scriptures and information I had gleaned over the years to refresh that hope.  I've often found that in the midst of a long struggle (such as waiting for the salvation of a loved one) I can get exhausted and that's when the devil comes in and makes the most headway, so it's important for me to renew my interest in the struggle; the stuggle for my husband's soul and for my effectiveness as a wife and as a Christian woman.
